Colorado Locations I love for Engagement or Portrait Sessions

Colorado has what I feel is a million locations to choose from! Here are some great options I personally love to photograph at. We can go pretty much anywhere you would like, let's chat about what type of session you are wanting, and I can suggest a great lotion for your vision. If you have a location in mind already, I can look into that spot further. I just need to check to see if a photography permit is required and if there is one what the cost of the permit is, where I can obtain one, and what restrictions there are, if any. The cost of the permit will be added to your invoice, so I like to choose places that are either free or under $50 for the permit fee. Certain locations are closed seasonally for environmental and safety reasons so we will look into the best time of year for your session as well! Some places also do not allow dogs so if you are planning to bring your pup with you, I want to make sure we are allowed and it a great place for your dream session to come true!

I photograph many of my sessions during sunset time for the best light, they don’t call it golden hour for nothing, and during the weekday, Monday-Thursday, so that way there is less people to photoshop out of the background of these amazing locations!

Castlewood Canyon, Franktown, CO:

Castlewood Canyon State Park is a Colorado state park near Franktown, Colorado. The park protects a unique part of Colorado's history (the Castlewood Canyon Dam).

Nature lovers and groups enjoy environmental diversity on several hiking trails ranging from mild to moderate. The winding Cherry Creek flowing along the canyon floor provides wonderful backdrop.

The natural amphitheater and the Bridge Canyon Overlook gazebo perched on the edge of the canyon are unique places for weddings. Ruins of the original ill-fated dam and the historic homestead still exist for hikers to see. No Dogs or other pets are permitted.
