Hamill House Wedding

Brittany & Mac

Nestled between mountain peaks in the Georgetown Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District, the Hamill House boasts an historic mining magnate's restored home including expansive green lawns, manicured gardens, majestic stone outbuildings, and beautiful trees to provide you with a picture-perfect site for your special day. Our unique historic property located in the picturesque town of Georgetown Colorado; just 45 miles from Denver, is perfect for an intimate event to a larger affair for one hundred and fifty. Brittany and Mac had just that a vintage, victorian style wedding with fun and unique touches throughout the wedding. The Hamill House is a beautiful part of Colorado History and these two wanted to have their stunning wedding there. Flowers were done by the bride and bridesmaids, as well as the decor throughout. The bride thrifted the majority of the decor. If you look at the photos, you will see little references to the movie, The Princess Bride, which is a special movie to the couple. The bride's dress was handmade by one of her bridesmaids and the stunning silver details on it were breathtaking. This couple was married by the groom's sister-in-law while one of their best friends play the guitar as she walked down the aisle. These two had a piece of food truck, as well as a dessert table to feed all of their close family and friends, as this was a smaller sized wedding of about 40 people. These two kept things really simple and just dance the night away with no traditional reception type events. We did in the evening with more formal Victorian style portraits in the main house which the bride personally requested. I loved every little detail of this wedding from the hobbit like invitations to the wildflower bouquets to the unforgettable classic location.
