A Joyful Church Ranch Event Center Wedding-Erica & Scott’s Colorado Celebration

There’s a certain magic that happens when the right couple meets the right venue and Erica & Scott’s wedding at Church Ranch Event Center was exactly that. A day full of genuine emotion, laughter around every corner, and warm Colorado light that made every photo glow this wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do.

Church Ranch Event Center has this incredible way of blending outdoor charm with intimate ceremony spaces. As Erica walked down the aisle toward Scott, the warm evening light gave everything a soft, golden quality that felt full of promise and joy. Their vows were heartfelt, honest, and grounded in the realness of their relationship not scripted, but true.

Every glance, soft smile, and wiped-away tear that’s the stuff that makes wedding photography meaningful to me. From the beer boys instead of flower girls to working with Erica's family again at her own wedding, I photographed her sister's wedding a few years back. This ceremony was a reminder that weddings aren’t just events; they’re moments that stay with you forever and this sounds really cheesy, but it makes me thankful for every wedding that I get to photograph.

One of the things I truly love about Church Ranch is how versatile it is for portraits. Between the open spaces, natural light, and those little pockets of shade the venue has, we were able to capture so many beautiful looks that felt them not forced or overly pose. There’s a real energy that builds when a couple throws a party that’s authentic to who they are, and that energy filled the reception space from start to finish. Speeches that got real laughs and real tears. A first dance that felt full of intention. A amazing drinks that kept the bar flowing all night! Erica & Scott’s wedding day was one of those celebrations that felt full of life easy to photograph because it was genuinely joyful and rooted in real connection the way he looked at her all night is something you had to be there to see. As a Colorado wedding photographer, days like this resonate because they’re not just pretty they’re real.
