Mountain Views & Big Love A Memorable Wedding at Copper Mountain, Colorado
There’s something incredible about a wedding day that feels effortlessly epic where every moment is intentional, every backdrop is breathtaking, and every part of the timeline is crafted so the couple can fully experience each moment. That was exactly the energy of this unforgettable celebration at Copper Mountain, Colorado. From stunning mountain views to a reception full of laughter and joy, this wedding was a true Colorado story, rich in landscapes, emotion, and memorable details.
The day began with both the bride and groom getting ready at separate Airbnbs a perfect balance of calm and excitement before the festivities began. While I was with the bride capturing those beautiful quiet moments, my amazing second photographer Felicia was with the groom, documenting every detail on his side with heart and creativity.
Shoutout to Felicia, you killed it photographing all the genuine moments on the gentlemen’s side!
One of the most unforgettable parts of the day was the first look framed by the sweeping mountainside overlooking Copper Mountain. There’s something about seeing each other for the first time with those vast Colorado peaks in the background it brings an emotional energy that feels both intimate and grand. The way they looked at each other in that moment made it clear: this day was going to be truly special.
Next, we headed to Officers Gulch, one of those mountain locales that feels like it was painted just for photos. The scenery was dramatic and elegant a perfect pairing for this couple’s energy. Best of all? We did all of the portraits before the ceremony so that once they arrived at their celebration, they could be fully present with friends and family no running away for photos during cocktail hour!
Their ceremony took place at a breathtaking spot near the Super Bee ski lift, surrounded by mountain air and dramatic views that felt Colorado at its best. There was a lot of emotion, a few happy tears, and a sense of joy that blossomed naturally under the big sky. With the landscape as stunning as it was, it didn’t feel like a backdrop it felt like home.
Following the ceremony, the festivities moved to the beautiful Grand Hall at Copper Station an elegant space that carried every detail of the day beautifully into the reception.
From heartfelt toasts to full‑on celebration mode, the energy was lively and heartfelt. Guests truly soaked in every moment from the laughter echoing off the walls to the dance floor that stayed full and joyful.
Some weddings are defined by moments others are defined by details. This one had both.
- An Oxygen Bar: At high elevation, this wasn’t just fun — it was practical and so Colorado! Guests loved it, and it became a playful part of the reception experience.
- A Truly Stunning Bouquet: The bride’s bouquet wasn’t just beautiful — it was show‑stopping. Full of texture, color, and elegance, it perfectly reflected the mountain setting while remaining refined and romantic.
Every detail, from the florals to the feel of the space elevated the day without ever overshadowing what mattered most: the couple. This wedding was one of those celebrations that felt big in landscape and personal in connection. It wasn’t just a series of beautiful photos it was a story told in light and laughter, emotion and energy, intentional timing and wild mountain beauty. Every location felt chosen with care, every moment felt lived, and every guest seemed happy to be part of the celebration.
To the newlyweds may your life together be filled with moments as breathtaking and joy‑filled as your wedding day.
