Jenna & Megan’s Rainy, Romantic Boulder Micro Wedding

After five beautiful years together, Jenna and Megan made it official in the most meaningful way with an intimate micro wedding surrounded by the people they love most, a little Colorado rain, and so much emotion. These two have built a life together that includes five years of memories, two beloved cats, and a love that was so evident in every moment of their wedding day. Their celebration was intimate, intentional, and completely them.

We started the day up at Lost Gulch, where the mountains gave us the perfect backdrop for some couples portraits. The weather was moody in the best possible way, with dramatic skies rolling over the mountains and that unmistakable Colorado feeling in the air. And, of course, what better way to celebrate than with an epic champagne pop?

There was laughter, champagne, mountain views, and plenty of time for Jenna and Megan to simply soak in the fact that they were getting married. It was the perfect beginning to a day that would only become more beautiful as it unfolded. From Lost Gulch, we made our way to Halfway House in Boulder for their intimate ceremony.

The sky had turned dark, and a soft rain began to fall as everyone gathered for the ceremony. Somehow, the weather made the entire setting feel even more romantic. The rain was light, the stone patio was beautiful, and everything felt quiet and intimate. Their ceremony was officiated by their sister-in-law, which made the moment feel even more personal. There was something incredibly special about having someone who knows and loves them so well standing beside them as they promised forever to one another. And then came the vows. Jenna and Megan each read their vows to one another, and they were absolutely beautiful. The kind of vows that make everyone stop and listen. The kind that remind you just how much history, friendship, laughter, and love can exist between two people who have chosen each other for life. I’ll be honest, their vows even brought a tear to my eye.

After the ceremony, we spent some time capturing family photos before slowing down and simply enjoying the evening on Halfway House’s beautiful stone patio. There was no rushing. No elaborate timeline. Just Jenna and Megan surrounded by the people who matter most, enjoying their newlywed status and soaking in every little moment.

They shared their first dance together, followed by sweet parent dances that brought even more fun and joy to the day. With the rain still softly falling and the dark Colorado sky overhead, the whole scene felt incredibly intimate and cinematic. Eventually, it was time for the newlyweds to head off to dinner and continue celebrating. Jenna and Megan’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful. Sometimes, the smallest celebrations hold the biggest emotions. Five years of love.
