Winter Wedding at Della Terra
There are some weddings that are beautiful… and then there are weddings that feel like something out of a storybook. Stephanie and Thomas’s winter Renaissance wedding at Della Terra Mountain Chateau was exactly that, romantic, intimate, and wrapped in the quiet magic only a Colorado winter can bring. From the very beginning, it was clear this day wasn’t just about the details (though they were stunning). It was about meaning. It was about warmth in the middle of winter. It was about two people who simply couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Two people who found their forever person and wanted to celebrate it!
Winter weddings have a way of slowing everything down. The air feels crisper. The hugs feel tighter. The laughter carries a little differently in the cold mountain air.
Stephanie and Thomas embraced all of it. The stone architecture of the chateau, the dramatic mountain views, it created this breathtaking contrast of grandeur and intimacy. There’s something deeply romantic about saying “I do” in winter. It feels intentional. Cozy. Sacred. And that’s exactly the energy their day carried.
Stephanie’s vision leaned into a Renaissance-inspired aesthetic, the rich tones, lush florals, timeless silhouettes, and an old-world elegance that felt both dramatic and soft. But what made it truly special wasn’t just the styling. It was how personal everything felt. The way Thomas looked at her during the ceremony like the rest of the world had faded away.
The way she squeezed his hands during their vows and hand fasting. Even stepping outside for portraits in the cold became a moment of laughter, thanks to the grooms man who vaped away for the dragon smoke photos, and that just-married glow that no temperature can chill.
Some of my favorite parts of the day weren’t the grand scenes, it was how the couple chose to have the people they love and the things that matter most to them be a huge part of their start. From the custom made centerpieces of dragons and whimsical creatures to the hand made scarves left for the guests to use during the ceremony outside under the stunning arbor draped in flowers to the tater tot bar with all the toppings your could imagine. Stephanie and Thomas didn’t just plan a beautiful wedding, they created an atmosphere. One filled with intention, romance, and gratitude. Every detail supported the story they were telling: a love that feels timeless, steady, and deeply rooted.
